Guardrails for engaging with non-bank commercial lenders

Fair4All Finance is committed to increasing the availability of affordable credit for people in vulnerable financial circumstances.

To support this mission, we have developed a set of ‘guardrails’ for engaging with non-bank commercial lenders, designed to ensure that these partnerships remain fully aligned with our core principles and social impact goals.

These guidelines build upon extensive learnings from our Affordable Credit Scale Up programme and previous work with commercial lenders, providing a clear framework for how we assess, invest in, and support these organisations.

These guardrails serve as a mandatory checklist for any impact investment or funding we provide and any impact investments and other funding we make will depend on satisfactorily meeting these guardrails.
